Scheduled Update Notice (v3.3.0) – October 29, 2026-Revised

Dear RemoteMeeting Users,
Thank you for using RemoteMeeting.

To provide a more secure and reliable service, we will be performing a scheduled update to RemoteMeeting (v3.3.0).

To help you prepare for the update, please review the schedule and key changes below.

Update Overview

  • Date/Time: October 29, 2026 (Thu) 20:00 – October 30, 2026 (Fri) 02:00 (KST, UTC+09:00)
  • Target: All RemoteMeeting services (Web, Mobile, RemoteMeeting BOX)
  • Note: The update will be performed without service interruption.

※ [Updated] Change to the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Policy
As previously announced, two-factor authentication was scheduled to become mandatory on November 30, 2026. This requirement will no longer take effect, and you can choose whether to use 2FA.

Key Updates

1. Enhanced Login Security (Web & Mobile)

As cyber threats, including AI-powered attacks, become more sophisticated, protecting your account and personal information is increasingly important.

To help keep your account secure, RemoteMeeting is introducing additional login security features.

1) Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) — Optional

You can now choose to use two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account.
When 2FA is enabled in the admin console, you will need to enter a 6-digit verification code sent to the email address registered to your account after entering your password.

If you sign in with Google, you can continue to log in without 2FA, just as before.

  • 2FA settings: At this time, only your partner administrator can enable or disable 2FA. A follow-up update is planned approximately two weeks later so that customer administrators can manage this setting directly.

※ 2FA does not apply to RemoteMeeting BOX or guest access.
※ If you use 2FA, please check that the email address registered to your account is correct and that you can receive verification emails.

2) Enhanced Login Security Policies

To help protect your account, we are introducing limits on failed login attempts and verification email requests.

  • Login Attempt Limit: If you fail to sign in 5 times within 10 minutes, login will be restricted for 10 minutes.
  • Verification Email Resend Limit: After 3 verification emails have been sent, you will need to wait 3 minutes before requesting another.

2. Participant View UI/UX Improvements (Web)

  • Drag & Drop Support: Move participant videos to your preferred positions and order. Your layout will stay the same when you switch viewing modes.
  • Automatic Active Speaker Positioning: If someone on another page starts speaking, their video automatically moves to the top of the first page, so you can easily see who is speaking.
  • Improved Active Speaker Focus: The active speaker is shown more clearly and no longer appears twice in the participant list on the right, making it easier to focus on the conversation.

3. Presentation View UI/UX Improvements (Web)

  • Expanded Pop-out View: Presenters and participants can open participant videos in a separate window while sharing a screen or document, so you can view presentation materials and participants at the same time.
  • Pin Participants During Presentations: Keep up to 4 selected participant videos visible on screen while presenting.
  • Active Speaker Focus During Presentations: See the current speaker in a small Picture-in-Picture (PiP) window while presenting.
  • Presentation Preview in PiP: When you enlarge a participant's video during a presentation, the shared material remains visible in a small PiP window at the bottom right.

4. Sharing and Meeting View Improvements

  • Removed "Waiting" Status for Document Sharing: Uploaded documents appear immediately in every participant's shared document list, and anyone can begin presenting them, regardless of who uploaded them.

※ Note: Screen sharing will still show a "Waiting" status while another participant is presenting.

  • Improved Screen Sharing: Improved screen sharing quality and a new option to share your computer audio along with your screen.
  • Improved Meeting Toolbar: A more compact toolbar with collapse and expand controls gives you more space for your meeting.

5. Mobile and RemoteMeeting BOX Improvements

  • Improved Mobile Presentation View: During a presentation, the PiP window shows the current speaker instead of the presenter, so you can see who is speaking.
  • Expanded Participant View on RemoteMeeting BOX: View up to 25 participant videos on a single screen.

The update will also include additional bug fixes and service stability improvements.

We will continue working to provide a better RemoteMeeting experience.
Thank you.
